These AT-AT cards use a clear straw and clear LED to give a fun laser beam effect! In this guide you'll find both a holiday AT-AT PDF as well as generic version without any holiday flair or text.

  1. We bought these clear straws off Amazon. You can also use colored straws, but if you do that be sure to only use WHITE LEDs so they'll shine through the straw better. Most 5mm LEDs should fit into the straw just fine, though if you want the LED to go in all the way you'll need to cut a small slit in the end of the straw. (You don't need to do this, but it may be helpful if you're using colored straws.)

    • We used a thin line of hot glue to hold down the straw. We recommend slightly rolling the straw once it's down to help spread out the glue. When using a clear straw the glue reflects the light and gives it a fun look.

    • In general build this project in this order: Color or decorate your card, poke LED legs through the paper, add tape and battery, add the straw.

    • The Holiday AT-AT PDF is at the end of this page.
