Alien Eyes Halloween Headband

Gather supplies.

You will also need: Scotch Tape.

Cut the styrofoam ball in half using your craft knife.

Use a dowel or another type of round stick (like a pencil) to make a hole in the center of each eye.

Use markers to decorate your eyes.

Tip: When drawing on styrofoam- instead of dragging the marker tip across the foam, its easier to press the tip of the marker into the foam like you are making a series of dots.

Take out your two red flashing LEDs, two batteries, and some tape.

Place the battery between the legs of the LED, aligning the positive (longer) leg with the positive side of the battery and the negative (shorter) leg with the negative side.

Make sure the battery is pushed up against the red cap of the led, and tape the battery and legs together securely.

Press the LED through the styrofoam eye where you made the hole before.

The battery can be pressed in so that it makes an imprint in the styrofoam as well.

Choose a pipe cleaner to be the sticks of the eyes.

Fold it in half, then cut it into two equal pieces.

Insert the ends of the pipe cleaners into each of the styrofoam balls.

Twist the other ends of the pipe cleaners around the headband.

Choose another pipe cleaner to be the eyelashes.

Cut the pipe cleaner into 10 small pieces.

Press each pipe cleaner piece into the eyes in a fan pattern.

You're ready to become a blinky alien!
