Download and print the template.

Use scissors to cut out the template, and a blade to cut out the interior shapes.
-
-
-
Trace the menorah shape onto the backside of the gold felt.
-
-
-
Cut out the felt along your traced lines. Use a blade for the interior shapes.
-
Cut out the "candle" rectangles from the white glitter felt.
-
-
-
Cut the jumper wires in half.
-
Use hot glue to glue two jumper wires to the back of each rectangle as shown. Make sure the hot glue doesn't cover the ends of the wires.
-
-
-
Measure the center of the sweatshirt and hot glue the menorah in place, making sure there is enough room for the candles and LEDs.
-
Do not place hot glue along the top edge of the menorah to allow the candles to tuck underneath it in a later step.
-
-
-
Poke two holes in the sweatshirt in the location of each candle as shown.
-
-
-
If you haven't already, separate the jumper wires.
-
Thread the wires through each pair of holes, making sure that the candle faces front when the wires are pulled all the way through.
-
-
-
Hot glue the candles in place. Tuck the bottom behind the menorah, and pay attention to the top of each candle to be sure it is even and straight.
-
-
-
Follow the circuit diagram on the template to separate the wires, with one wire from each candle routed up and one routed down. Use masking tape to keep the wires in place.
-
Strip the ends of each wire.
-
Add a piece of Maker Tape to each wire as shown, wrapping it over the exposed end and back onto itself to make "Wire Sandwich."
-
-
-
Connect all of the wires on top to each other with a long piece of Maker Tape.
-
Repeat for the bottom wires.
-
Add a small additional piece of Maker Tape to each wire to ensure a stable connection.
-
-
-
Decide on the location of your battery pack. We put ours at the bottom of the sweatshirt.
-
Route a long piece of Maker Tape from each line of wires to the battery pack location as shown.
-
Wrap Maker Tape around the bare wires on the battery pack.
-
Use an "X" of Maker Tape to attach each Battery Pack wire to the lines of Maker Tape.
-
-
-
Sew the battery pack to the sweatshirt by stitching between the two holes inside the battery pack.
-
Add a few stitches to secure the wires where they exit the plastic case as well. (For more detail, see the video above).
-
-
-
Add masking tape on top of the circuit to prevent a short circuit while you are wearing it.
-
-
-
Insert the LEDs into the jumper wires, as any other menorah!
-
If one of the LEDs doesn't light up, just turn it around.
