Use the diagrams on the right hand side of Day 1 Activity 3 sheet and the actual solar panel to find details about the panel's structure.

Use an index card to gradually shade the panel from one edge to the edge across from it to find the point at which the panel no longer supplies enough electricity to make the motor work. Shade that area on the appropriate diagram for Day 1 Activity 4. Repeat this procedure from the remaining edge to edge (perpendicular to the first trial).
