Introduction

These are trays for storing your micro:bits.

There are files for 4, 5, and 8 micro:bits, but you can edit the OpenSCAD file to create a tray to hold some other quantity. (There are few other parameters you can edit as well, such as angle and spacing.)

Parts

No parts specified.

  1. You can download the file and print it on your own 3D Printer. You can print in one color or two color, depending on your printer. If you want the "BDG" text on the bottom we recommend a darker colored filament. (Otherwise you can print the tray on its own.) Find it in our GitHub repository: https://github.com/BrownDogGadgets/3D-Pr...
  2. We like to stick a few rubber feet to the bottom of the tray to prevent sliding around or scratching your desk. If you print two of them you can flip one over and stack them, then use a rubber band to hold them together! A bit more protection if you're throwing them into a bag for travel.

    • If you're not afraid to edit some code you can use OpenSCAD to customized the MicroBit-Storage-Tray.scad file to hold more (or fewer) micro:bits, as well as adjust the angle and the spacing.
